- Abstract
The current study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on brain - based learning in developing overall mathematical proficiency and each of its components among second year intermediate students at Jazan. The researcher adopted the quasi-experimental control group pre-post-test design. Pretesting aimed at making sure of the female pupils equivalence in their entry-level before intervention. Post testing aimed at investigating the effectiveness of independent variable in developing the dependent variable (s). The participants included sixty-four female students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The findings of the study revealed that the proposed strategy based on brain-based learning proved to be effective in developing overall mathematical proficiency and each of its components among intermediate stage female students at Jazan. In light of these findings some suggestions and recommendations were provided.
