- Abstract
From the human point of view, thermal comfort is associated with psychological condition that expresses satisfaction with the thermal environment. Therefore, the influence that the climate has on the man and his daily activities are explored in this work. This study aims to analyze the comfort and human discomfort in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The methodology was through biometeorological rates over the months of the year, featuring / indicate the thermal sensation of the people in this city. In general, the results show that the city of Natal was characterized as "slightly uncomfortable" for its inhabitants for six months of the year, which can cause health problems due to their climatic factors. Results in this way, some environmental impacts of anthropogenic activities soothsayers as: air and water pollution, waste production, changes in microclimate (heat islands).
