Demonstrates how a statistics field trip can be a possibility and how it can be used to illustrate many of the main features of the statistics syllabi. Use of correlation and regression analysis principles in travelling to a specific place; Use of ranking methods in order to rate objects seen during the experimental trip based on personal appeal; use of statistical data to study samples of cowrie shells taken during the trip.
