- Abstract
Reports on the finding that mutations in SID2, a novel gene in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, cause synthetic lethality with sic1 deletion and may cause a defect during S phase. Strains used; Isolation of mutants synthetically lethal with sic1 deletion; Functional nuclear import signal of Sid2p; Effects of SID2 on DNA replication or repair; Genetic interaction between sid2-1 with S phase cyclins.
