- Abstract
This article argues that landlords should be prohibited from categorically excluding recipients of rental housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937 by using state and local housing antidiscrimination laws with a focus on the antidiscrimination law of Minnesota. Topics covered include legal history of Minnesota on the issue of Section 8 vouchers and the ordinance adopted by Minnesota in response to the Court of Appeals' ruling that permits voucher-based discrimination.
