- Abstract
A trend in many companies toward offering a menu of health insurance plans creates a need for a model that employees can use to select a package that is a appropriate for them. The author presents a multiattribute health insurance choice model that synthesizes the cost-benefit structure of the health plans with an employee's preference set to quantify a process the decision making process. The model can be implemented with the help of an employee benefit specialist. Four criteria and three alternatives are used to implement the model.
