- Abstract
The article reports on the proposal of marine scientists David Booth, Peter Macreadie and Ashley Fowler from the University of Technology, Sydney to perform a large-scale expansion of the rigs-to-reefs project. It indicates that the project would be beneficial for both the marine environment and the oil and gas industries worldwide. Moreover, it stresses that the project will help these industries save billions of dollars in their decommissioned offshore rigs.
