- Abstract
This document is a letter expressing appreciation for a recent study on the role of C1q/TNF-Related Protein 6 (CTRP6) in evaluating coronary heart disease associated with Type 2 Diabetes. The study found significant relationships between CTRP6 levels and various clinical and laboratory parameters, providing valuable insights into the pathophysiology of coronary heart disease in this population. However, the study's limitations include a relatively small sample size and the need for further mechanistic studies to understand the precise role of CTRP6. The authors recommend future research to establish a causal relationship between CTRP6 levels and cardiovascular outcomes and explore the therapeutic implications of modulating CTRP6 levels.
