The article discusses news and information related to genomic medicine as of January 2019. It is said that the target of sequencing 100,000 genomes by the end of 2018 has been hit. Former British Prime Minister David Cameron set the initial target to sequence 100,000 genomes by the end of 2017. The role of the National Health Service Genomic Medicine Service is to offer equitable access to personalised medicine.
