Consideration of the potential health risks linked to the impact of job stress and training on the health of the mother and fetus; Increase in the number of residency programs with maternity leave policies; Focus on the psychosocial effects of pregnancy on a resident's quality of life; Importance of support from peers and faculty during pregnancy; Need for additional data to assess maternal-fetal outcomes and the impact of pregnancy on residency programs.
