- Abstract
The book "Methods as Situated Practice. The Group Discussion in Program Evaluation" by Susanne Mäder examines the methodological practice of evaluators and focuses on the group discussion as a specific professional practice. The author uses ethnomethodological and practice theoretical concepts to describe the methodological actions of evaluators. The research method is based on narrative-episodic interviews with evaluators to gain insights into their group discussion practice. The book provides a practical examination of group discussions as an evaluation method and contributes to increasing their acceptance and validity.
