- Authors
Bhargava, Rachna; Gupta, Nitin
- Abstract
The article discusses the issue of suicide prevention and intervention, particularly focusing on adolescents. It highlights the lack of attention given to suicides in this age group and emphasizes the importance of mental health professionals in analyzing and addressing the problem. The article suggests that factors such as bullying, loneliness, weak family and social relationships, and anxiety contribute to suicidal behavior among adolescents. It also emphasizes the role of parents in building resilience in children from an early age and suggests the need for psychological interventions to equip parents with the skills to support their children effectively.
