- Abstract
The article presents a study on Genus Erythraeus (Acari: Erythraeidae), a new species from Punjab, Pakistan. It states that the larvae of erythraeid mites were collected from two grassy plants setaria viridis L. and sorghum halepence L. from distinct Layyah and Bakhar respectively. It mentions that the leaves of the grasses were shaken on a piece of paper, mites larvae were picked with the help of fine brush from the paper and preserved in 70% ethyl alcohol. Moreover, the drawings of different body parts of mite specimens were made through using camera lucida and the mites specimens were examined under higher power phase contrast microscope.
