- Abstract
The article examines the results of group counseling conducted to 14 hospital aide and attendant trainees in a Job Opportunities in the Business Sector (JOBS) program of a hospital to determine the distinct characteristics of successful and unsuccessful trainees. The scheme is designed to provide training and subsequent employment to disadvantaged persons. The trainees were all high school dropouts from culturally deprived backgrounds and comprised of nine female and five males. Based on the result, there is no significant differences on race, sex, intelligence or age between these two sets of trainees.
