The CHILD naevus represents a hallmark of CHILD syndrome [congenital hemidysplasia with ichthyosiform naevus and limb defects, MIM: 308050]. The first case was published by Otto Sachs in 1903.[9] In an 8-year-old girl he described a "xanthoma-like naevus" of the right axillary region and a "raspberry-like tumour" on the fifth finger of her right hand (Table, inset A).
