- Abstract
The article discusses the appropriateness of the charges filed by the U.S. Attorney's office against the M/V Hagestad towboat crew in the Western District of Kentucky on claims of Clean Water Act and Ports and Waterways Safety Act violations. The court has claimed that the towboat crews have failed to notify the Coast Guard Station about the benzene leaking from the barge they were towing near St. Louis, Missouri.
