- Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit case United States v. Mobley, in which defendant Jermaine Mobley was pleaded guilty to the offense of possession of a weapon in prison. It discusses the decision of the Court that found Mobley to be a career offender under the Sentencing Guidelines and imposed a sentence of 37 months. It further mentions the Supreme Court case Begay v. United States based on the Armed Career Criminal Act's violent felony residual clause.
