- Abstract
A method set up for screening strains was used to filter a strain which could transform arctiin to arctigenin with the β-glucosidase activity. The transformation rate was improved to over 95% by the optimization and kinetics tests for the fermentation of Fructus arctii. The product of fermentation was separated with macroporous resins, and then purified by the silica-gel column chromatography and recrystallization. The pure product was assayed by NMR, IR and MS.
