- Abstract
This article discusses a study which investigated the effect of the organic carbon input on water and sediment quality in Lutjanidae sea floating net cages in Chipehua in Oaxaca, Mexico. It is noted that duplicate sediment sub-samples were used to analyze organic carbon, using the equations for predicting soil organic carbon using loss-on-ignition method. Results revealed a significant difference in turbidity between sampling sites. The mean temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO) were maintained, and the values for acidity and redox potential were reportedly constant.
