TITUS, CLAIRE
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the creation and conservation of the full-scale preparatory drawings by Canadian artist Miller Brittain for the mural to be painted on the walls at Saint John Tuberculosis Hospital (Saint John, New Brunswick). The author notes that the cartoons were completed in 1942 and that the mural was never painted. Information on the process of preserving the cartoons after they were donated to the New Brunswick Museum (NBM) by Brittain's daughter, Jennifer Brittain, is also provided.
