- Abstract
The article offers information on the Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) on October 1, 2014 related to chemical substances commonly known as nonylphenols (NP) and nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE). Topics discussed include concerns of EPA regarding the potential impacts of NP and NPE chemicals on aquatic environment, implementation of action plan of agency and Inventory Update Rule (IUR).
