- Abstract
The article presents a management research brief of the 2008 study "Individualism, masculinity, and the sources of organizational commitment," by Gary Gelade, Paul Dobson, and Katharina Auer, investigating employee attitudes, motivation, and desires, and their influence from cultural factors. A review of the methodology and results of the study is given, pointing out several elements leading to the development of affective organizational commitment. Features noted focus on different levels of perceived individualism and masculinity in the organizational atmosphere.
