- Abstract
The article discusses housing finance reform in the U.S. which has been left to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). The FHFA was created by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, which become law on July 30, 2008, and replaced the prior regulator, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight. On February 21, 2012, the FHFA sent the Congress its "Strategic Plan for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Conservatorships," in which it described its strategic goals for conservatorships.
