- Abstract
The article offers information on the history, purpose and significance of the early discovery in copyright infringement lawsuits against users of the peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing protocol BitTorrent such as John Doe under the U.S. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure. It discusses legal issue arising from joinder of multiple defendants and motions to quash subpoenas are considered under the copyright law of the U.S.
