- Abstract
The article analyzes the documentary film "In the Light of Reverence," produced and directed by Christopher McLeod. Particular focus is given to the film's portrayal of rights and responsibilities in relation to Indian religious freedom and the protection of Indigenous sacred lands. According to the author, the film's affirmation of Native worldviews and its appeal to concepts familiar to non-Native audiences, such as U.S. laws on religions freedom, reflect the complexities of the issue.
