- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the first tandem trifluoromethylation/semipinacol rearrangement. The study uses 2-oxa allylic alcohol as a model substrate while various commercially available copper catalysts were examined using Togni's reagent as the source of CF3. The study concludes that a novel allylic alcohols' copper-catalyzed trifluoromethylation/semipinacol rearrangement was developed.
