- Abstract
The most dangerous sickness that affects the agave in Oaxaca, Mexico is the putrefaction of the bacterial spot which is caused by the Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Jones, 1901). It has been determined a controlling method for the bacteria a based on some agrochemicals as well as the vector and shelterers. It was evaluated the effect of the bacteria on fungi and nematodes entomopathogenic, which were employed for controlling the larvae and the mature of agave weevil. The Agrimicin and sulfurcoul control and stop the colonies of the bacteria in a 90 % in both cases. It was also found that; the soil is not a factual agent that transmits or shelters the bacteria, that the insects are vector and that the agave leaves are shelters of the bacteria, did not affect the colonies of fungi and entomophathogenic nematodes.
