- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the groundwater flow system of Ontake volcano in Japan. It states the utilization of isotope tracer methods in elucidating the groundwater flow system of the Ontake volcano that was located in a temperate humid region. It notes the monthly collection of the precipitation at 11 sites of the volcano for 26 months. It mentions the relative magnitude of the groundwater flow systems in the younger volcano zone. Moreover, it also notes that with the increasing age of the volcano, the flow system decreases.
