- Abstract
This article presents the findings of a study that compared the genomes of the Amur tiger and Amur leopard, two endangered big cat species that coexist and compete in the same habitat. The study identified genetic variations and functional elements in their genomes, as well as genes related to various physiological traits and adaptive evolution. The analysis revealed shared genomic characteristics that contribute to their survival abilities, as well as genomic distinctions that give the Amur tiger a competitive advantage. The study provides insights into the genetic basis of their competition and emphasizes the importance of strategies for habitat conservation.
