- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights regarding the mode of production in the People's Republic of China (PRC) as a concept of historical materialism and its position in the theoretical system of ries of philosopher Karl Marx. Topics discussed include the Chinese mode of production was adjusted to the definition of socialism by Marx in 1978, the reforms made by the Communist Party of China (CPC), opening of the economy, and the growth of non-public ownership economy.
