- Abstract
Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli arc Lhe main paLhogenic bacLeria LhaL cause diarrhea in humans. TradiLional biochemical meLhods have problems such as mulLiplc sLcps, Lime consuming, and low LhimighpHL when idcnLifying Campylobacter. In Lhis sLiidv, several analyses including sequence analyses, gene annoLaLion, drug rcsisLancc gene predicLion, mulLilocLis sequence Lvping (MLST), and CRISPR-Cas svsLem finding were performed on\hc whole genomes of Campylobacter using various bioinformaLics meLhods, Lhcreby exploring highly cffecLivc feaLnrcs for disLingiiishing Campylobacter jejuni from Campylobacter coli. ExpcrimenLal residLs manifcsL LhaL Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli have significanL differences in genome sequence lcngLh, GC conLcnL, gene mimher, MLST,and CHISPR-Cas sysLcms. In addiLion, vve found a highly disLinguishablc CH1SPR rcpcaL sequence LhaL is widespread in Campylobacter jejuni. lL is concluded LhaL Lhcsc feaLiircs can he used Lo consLnicL bioinTormaLics Lools for idcnLifying Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli more accLiraLely.
