Getting Master's Level Counseling Students Interested in Research.
- Authors
Gerig, Mark S.
- Abstract
Approaches to increasing the involvement of masters-level counseling students in research are explored. The demographics of students enrolled in a M.A. in Counseling program at a mid-sized Christian university are briefly identified. Specific characteristics of the students, academic environment, and training model are described. Those must be addressed if students' involvement in research is to increase. Finally, I present suggestions for promoting student interest in research and research productivity.
