LEUCEMIA LINFOBLÁSTICA AGUDA EM FELINO.

- Abstract
A leucemia linfoblástica aguda (LLA) é mais frequentemente documentada em felinos, quando comparada à leucemia linfoide crônica. A LLA tem comportamento agressivo e alta malignidade, sendo geralmente diagnosticada em felinos na infecção progressiva pelo vírus da Leucemia Felina (FeLV). O FeLV é um retrovírus oncogênico responsável por causar leucemia e linfoma no hospedeiro. Em uma Clínica Veterinária de Ensino, foi realizado o atendimento de um felino recentemente adotado, sem raça definida, fêmea, com cerca de seis meses de idade, pesando 2,6 kg, apresentando hiporexia, vômitos, polaquiúria e febre, cujo resultado do teste rápido demonstrou antigenemia para FeLV. Na ultrassonografia foi observada linfadenomegalia abdominal. Nos parâmetros hematológicos, foram obervades leucocitose, com 217.600/?L leuócitos totais, presença de linfócitos atípicos e linfoblastos circulantes (51%), neutropenia com desvio à esquerda degenerativo e trombocitopenia. Em análise microscópica de esfregaço sanguíneo corado por Panótico®, o predomínio de linfócitos e seus precursores foi confirmado (figura A), além disso, foram evidenciados linfoblastos com nucléolos evidentes (figura B, seta vermelha), manchas de Gümprecht (figura B, seta preta), célula em fase final de mitose (Telófase) (figura C, seta preta) e figuras de mitose atípicas (figura D, seta preta). Sendo o FeLV um vírus causador de neoplasias linfoides e leucêmicas, as peculiaridades celulares apresentadas pelo felino em relato, sugerem uma leucemia linfoblástica aguda, na qual a porcentagem de linfoblastos é maior do que 20% dos leucócitos totais no sangue periférico. Além disso, outras características encontradas nas células também indicam alterações neoplásicas, mitose atípica, nucléolos proeminentes e manchas de Gümprecht, as quais representam restos nucleares de linfócitos neoplásicos. A partir destes resultados hematológicos, o animal recebeu tratamento quimioterápico com vincristina, ciclofosfamida e prednisolona. Embora tenha apresentado boa evolução inicial, com melhora clínica e dos parâmetros hematológicos, a paciente veio a óbito após algumas semanas de terapia em decorrência de quadro de miastenia gravis.
