The article offers information on descriptive analysis of Scottish farmed Atlantic salmon Salmo salar L. and identification of potential disease transmission risk from its freshwater movements. Topics discussed include Scottish fin fish aquaculture employs majority of people in remote and rural communities, increase in Scottish marine fin fish production; and majority of fish mortalities in salmonfarming were attributed to infectious diseases.
