- Title
Causality, social selectivity or artefacts? Why socioeconomic inequalities in health are not smallest in the Nordic countries.
- Authors
Huijts, Tim; Eikemo, Terje Andreas
- Abstract
The authors examine the socioeconomic inequalities in health in Nordic countries. They note the possible causal influences of the egalitarian Nordic welfare regime type on the inequalities. The also consider the paradoxical position of Nordic countries as a cause of the inequalities. The authors call for an elaborate further examination of the reasons for the inequalities through empirical research.
