- Abstract
A woman has been described as the embodiment of Shakti in Hindu scriptures but in real life she is treated as Abla. In today's scenario, women play a prominent role for the development of economy. Economic development is directly proportional to human resources available to any organization, which in turn governs the economic status of any country. In present scenario of globalization women empowerment has given a new edge to human resources and it has definitely given a boost to overall economic growth. Managing the home is a challenging task in which women are managing it efficiently so why cannot she manage the business area efficiently?. In recent years the women empowerment has been recognized as central issue in determining the measures of ontogenesis of women in state. Within the framework of a developing nation our laws, Development policies, plans and programs have aimed at women participation as a consequence of it Indian Industrial sector has witnessed many women empowerment and internationally recognized leaders. The success of women entrepreneurship is changing from one country to another country due to social, cultural, demographical, geographical environment. Despite of male dominant society and hardships faced by women in India they stand tall from the rest of crowd and are highly praised for their achievements in the respective fields. The present paper is an endeavour to study various aspects of women empowerment, reasons for a women's empowerment, the kind of obstacles faced by a woman the attitude of the Indian government and the course of action taken by it to promote burgeoning women empowerment.
