The article looks at the passage of the right-to-work laws in both Michigan and Indiana that are affecting both unions and workers. According to the author, the passage of the right-to-work laws are assaults to the right of workers to organize. The provisions of the original National Labor Relations Act of 1935 are outlined. An overview of the Taft-Hartley amendments, which declared the right of workers to join or not to join unions, is provided.
