- Abstract
The article focuses on the support for American lawyer C. Peter Erlinder who was arrested by the Rwandan government for his political speech and for working with human rights advocate and reformer Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza. The author stresses that the National Lawyers Guild opposes attempts to discourage free and spirited political speech and believes that every person charged with a crime is entitled to defense. Furthermore, it mentions that the journal is supporting Erlinder.
