- Abstract
Colombia's social uprising was not a strike. It was a vivid objection staged by young people and a large part of the social fabric to the long hegemony of the mafia discourse --a privileged form of capitalist discourse in Colombia--. The protesters installed outdoor community kitchens (ollas comunitarias) by the crack houses ("ollas"). These actions also marked the fall of the imaginary father, the protagonist of the mafia discourse followed by another Colombian social sector. The youth's joyful and successful rejection of the imaginary's father sacrificial mandate claimed many eyes and many lives.
