- Abstract
The article reports on the findings of a study by the Rural & Remote Mental Health Service (RRAMHS) on the severity of mental illness among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in North Queensland, Queensland. It explores the factors that contribute to the development of mental illness and the burden of the disease for indigenous populations. It discusses the disease prevalence rates, the demographical and clinical management results, and the substance use variables.
