Reports on the conduction of clinical trial on safety and efficacy of propofol containing disodium edetate (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) (EDTA) by Zeneca Pharmaceuticals in conjunction with the Food and Drug Administration in the U.S. Use of EDTA to treat heavy metal poisoning; Difficulty of evaluating a possible relationship of lipid emulsions and sepsis in the intensive care unit; Stimulation of parathyriod hormone by propofol.
