- Abstract
The article discusses the work and influence of 18th century Genevan French philosopher, writer, and theorist, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, with a focus on the concept of the rights of man and the development of the vocabulary and language of the rights of man. Topics discussed include the relationship between the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the work of Rousseau, the concept of natural law and the study of elements of nature as they impact humanity, and the concepts of morality and nature in modern civil society.
