- Abstract
The article discusses agricultural biotechnology and schismogenesis divergence concept in relation to controversies surrounding crop genetic engineering and genetically modified organism (GMO) technologies as of 2015. Gene patenting and food labeling issues are mentioned, along with human health risks and the impacts of GMO technology on farmers in developing nations. Uncertainty in science and policy-making is examined, as well as GMO-related skepticism and India's Bt cotton industry.
