- Abstract
The author analyzes the decision of the court on Shirley v. Glass and concludes that the expansion of the doctrine of negligent entrustment to the sales of chattels is improper in Kansas. The author provides facts of the case and the procedural history that leads to the ruling by the Kansas Court of Appeals. He also provides the background of the doctrine of negligent entrustment in the state and compares it with doctrines in other states.
