The article offers information on looking-glasses and doppelgangers themed portrait photography by Clementina, Lady Hawarden. Topics discussed include information on book "Through the Looking-Glass" by Lewis Carroll which is based in Hawarden's visions of girlhood; importance of women in the early history of photography; and role of Hawarden's doubled daughters in her unsettling/queer images of Victorian femininity.
