- Authors
McOrist, S.; Smits, R. J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that investigated the efficacy of Lawsonia intracellularis in the prevention of porcine proliferative enteropathy (PE) or ileitis in pigs, in light of the new discoveries and technologies. The researchers identified three progeny farm sites in Australia, known for PE endemic, to receive vaccinated and unvaccinated 8-weeks old pigs. A discussion on the methodology, farm conditions, results, and possible factors which affected the results is also presented.
