QUIEBRES Y CONTINUIDADES DE LA SOCIABILIDAD CHILENA: EL REALISMO EN OÍR SU VOZ DE ARTURO FONTAINE TALAVERA.
- Authors
Fernández, Nicolás Salerno
- Abstract
The article examines realism in the novel "Oír su voz," by Chilean author Arturo Fontaine Talavera. It argues that Fontaine's aesthetic is a crucial contribution to what is known as the "new" Chilean narrative that exclusively contains realistic themes. The novel, like other works of realism, contains aspects related to the bourgeoisie and institutes a model of pre-established ideas within the novel's "reality." The article explores these pre-established ideas within the narrative's characters, space, and action.
