- Abstract
The article discusses a study that described the larval development of the southern flounder, Thysanopsetta naresi, from Patagonia, Chile. The developmental stages are pre-flexion larva, flexion larva, post-flexion larva, and transformation stage. Also presented is a summary of the differences in larval pigmentation found among the larvae of the local species of the family Paralichthyidae, including Hippoglossina macrops, Paralichthys microps and Paralichthys adspersus.
