- Abstract
The article presents a study which analyzed the behavior of different classes of Otaria flavescens during breeding and non-breeding seasons at a central Chilean coast. Data of males, females, juveniles and pups were recorded from May 2008 to December 2009. It was found that males performed more aggression, locomotion and recognizing behaviors during the breeding season. The results of the study may reportedly be used to compare with behavioral data from colonies perturbed by human activities.
