- Abstract
The article discusses several research papers on the status and production of biofuel. A research conducted in the U.S. reveals that the non-edible tall grass species Miscanthus giganteus can be a source of cellulose for conversion into ethanol. It informs that the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics in Hyderabad, India has developed a sweet sorghum called Sorghum bicolor as an energy crop that can be used for converison into biofuel.
